Dr. Sekeria Volece Bossie, Owner/Executive Director PhD, LBSW, LPC-S, NCC, CAMS, ACAS, CTAPSB
B.E.C.T Services LLC was started in October 2012 by Sekeria Volece Bossie. BECT Services LLC was developed from her desire to be able to not only provide quality mental health and behavioral services to consumers but also to be able to provide education and trainings to other social service professions to enhance their ability to provide quality services to their consumers.
Sekeria Volece Bossie is a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker in the state of Alabama. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor as well. Sekeria is a Certified Anger Management Specialist and an Advanced Certified Autism Specialist. Lastly, she is also a Certified Therapist for Adolescents with Problematic Sexual Behavior.
Sekeria Volece Bossie has worked in the mental health and behavioral service field since 2000. She has extensive experience with youth and adults with mental health difficulties, behavioral disorders, intellectual limitations, and/or physical disabilities as well as those individuals coping with the stressors and changes of life. She has behavioral and clinical experience in residential environments, a hospital setting, a nursing home atmosphere, and private practice environments, in both the natural environment and office setting. She also has extensive experience in executive leadership positions in the mental health field. Additionally, Dr. Bossie is also an Assistant Professor at Alabama State University and teaches in the College of Health Sciences, Department of Rehabilitation Studies.
Sekeria Volece Bossie has three passions: 1. Working with youth and families that are impacted by developmental and/or behavioral disorders or difficulties. 2. Working with youth and families that are impacted by the foster care system in not only reunification and preservation efforts but also adjustment and coping when reunification and preservation is no longer a viable option. 3. Educating new professionals in the field and fostering growth amongst already existing professionals in the field.
